India captain Suryakumar Yadav has been found guilty of a code of conduct breach by the ICC for his post-match remarks following the Asia Cup group game against Pakistan on September 14. As a result, he has reportedly been fined 30 per cent of his match fees.

The comments, which made indirect reference to military tensions between the two nations, were deemed to have crossed the line by match referee Richie Richardson.

According to news agency PTI , Suryakumar pleaded not guilty during the hearing, but his defence was rejected.

The BCCI has lodged an appeal against the verdict.
