The International Cricket Council (ICC), led by Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s son Jay Shah, has found Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav guilty of breaching its code of conduct for dedicating India’s victory against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 group match to the armed forces, in response to the Pahalgam attack.
According to a report by sports website ESPN.in, ICC match referee Richie Richardson rejected Yadav’s plea of “not guilty.”

The India captain could face demerit points, a fine, or both, although the report did not confirm the exact sanction.
After India thrashed Pakistan, Suryakumar dedicated the win to the “bravery of the armed forces” and said the team “stood with the families of victims of the Pahalgam attack.”
