Ahead of his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is currently in the US to attend the UNGA session, US President Donald Trump on Friday said that a deal on Gaza could be on the cards.

“It’s looking like we have a deal on Gaza. I think it’s a deal that gets the hostages back, it’s going to be a deal that ends the war,” Trump told reporters at the White House.

The US President, however, didn’t offer any further details.

According to reports, Trump will meet Netanyahu at the White House on Monday to discuss the prospects of a deal to end the war in Gaza even as Netanyahu said that Israel is “not done yet” in its war against Hamas.
