Gov. Tina Kotek spent the summer at the Camp Rilea military base on the Oregon Coast while the governor’s residence underwent nearly a million dollars in renovations.

Documents obtained by the Statesman Journal through public records requests detail spending for various improvements to Mahonia Hall, including window restoration and security upgrades, and a brand new position to help oversee the residence.

Funds for projects at Mahonia were earmarked back in 2022 and went toward improvements noted in previous reviews.
