OREM, Utah (ABC4) — Young students at Cherry Hill Elementary School will be attending school online Friday after bats were found in the school.

On Thursday, Sept. 25, students and parents were informed that classes would be moved online for the day due to ongoing bat removal efforts at the school, according to Assistant Principal Tiffany Hone.

"Bats were recently discovered at Cherry Hill Elementary School, and we are still working to remove them from the building," the school said in a social media post. "In the meantime, a licensed wildlife management company, in coordination with our district facilities team, is on site and addressing the situation in full compliance with health and safety guidelines."
