Congress Parliamentary Party president Sonia Gandhi on Friday inaugurated a library named after Dr Manmohan Singh at the Congress headquarters in New Delhi, marking the 93rd birth anniversary of the former prime minister who died in December last year.
Dr Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur and other members of his family were present at the inauguration at Indira Bhavan. Also present were party chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, along with senior leaders including Jairam Ramesh.
The library contains around 1,200 books which narrate the journey of the country and the Congress. It has separate sections for books on Mahatma Gandhi and India’s first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. Besides Dr Singh, there are separate sections for Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandh
