And just like that, we’re past the autumnal equinox and it’s officially fall, y’all. Far ahead of Halloween, blow-up witches, scarecrows and skeletons are appearing on lawns and by doorways, sometimes doing questionable activities, and pumpkins are appearing everywhere, quite often how Nature never intended.
But it’s not just the iconic traditional orange orbs we all grew up to carve for classic Halloween jack-o’-lanterns and to make pumpkin pies. Oh, no. Times, as they say, are a-changin’, and so are pumpkins. ×
