The search for a Lethbridge boy who went missing Sunday in the Crowsnest Pass is continuing at a “very high tempo,” an Alberta Search and Rescue official said Thursday.
Darius Macdougall, 6, was last seen Sunday morning, when he went for a walk with six young family members four kilometres south of Crowsnest Pass near Island Lake Campground. The boy, who was initially reported to be five years old, was reported missing around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Adam Kennedy, training manager with Alberta Search and Rescue, said Thursday that priorities remain searching routes the boy might have travelled on while also continuing to cover areas previously searched. The current search radius is roughly four kilometres, with some trail searches extending to eight kilometres.
