City Councilman Justin Brannan says he will vote against a proposed casino in Coney Island, arguing the neighborhood needs many things — but not a gambling center.

“People forget that it is just a residential neighborhood. It’s not Six Flags Great Adventure, right? It’s this small little southern Brooklyn neighborhood with a roller coaster and an amusement park dumped into the middle of it,” the Brooklyn councilmember said Friday on “Mornings On 1.”

“I’ve heard from, you know, over the years representing Coney Island, people tell me that we need a lot of things. I’ve never heard someone say what we really need is a casino,” he added.

The developers behind the proposed casino, dubbed The Coney, have pitched a project that includes a 500-room hotel and a 2,400-seat concert venue.
