SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Information provided by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a $9.6 million project that will provide a much improved travel experience for the thousands of motorists that utilize the busy US 171 (Hearne Avenue) corridor in Shreveport.
Work on the project is scheduled to begin Friday, Oct. 3.
The project includes full-depth patching to repair the base of the roadway at specified locations, milling to remove the old asphalt, and new asphalt paving on 4.6 miles of Hearne Avenue from LA 3132 to US 80 (Greenwood Road). Related work includes drainage improvements, along with the installation of permanent signage and roadway striping.
