SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A woman is filing a lawsuit against the City of Shreveport and the Shreveport Police Department for false arrest and civil rights violations from earlier this year.

KSLA brought you the first alert when Calvinitri White was arrested back in July for child neglect. This was after Shreveport Police officers found roaches in her home on a domestic call.

Those charges were dropped days later.

White was released after the Caddo Parish District Attorney’s Office saw proof that White had tried to get management at her apartment to fix the pest control issues for months.

White’s attorney says the arrest violated her humanity and that she was arrested on a flawed judgment call.
