SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - The Western District of Louisiana has a new U.S. attorney.

This comes after the previous one, Brandon Brown, retired in January .

Following Brown’s retirement, Alexander Van Hook served as acting U.S. attorney for the Western District.

Now, a replacement for Brown has been nominated by President Donald Trump. The nominee is Zachary Keller. His term is four years.

Keller’s nomination was announced on the White House’s website Sept. 15.

According to the Department of Justice’s website, the Western District of Louisiana is made up of 42 of the state’s 64 parishes and geographically encompasses two-thirds of the state.
