NORFOLK, Neb. (WOWT) - This day 23 years ago marked one of the deadliest bank robberies in American history.
In 2002, three men stormed into the US Bank branch in Norfolk.
In less than 40 seconds, five people were dead: four employees and a customer.
A manhunt ensued.
Several hours later, three men were captured outside a McDonalds in O’Neill.
Investigators say they left the bank without any money.
All three remain on Nebraska’s death row.
