LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Even though the Lubbock Westerners have started the season 1-3, head coach Juan Rodriguez believes the program is in a better place than it was twelve months when the team was 3-1. Coach Rodriguez says while the players are off, they are still approaching this week with a game day mindset.
“I think that’s the most impressive part about our group and our team- is that they were able to start back Monday. I don’t think those guys were looking forward to having a day off,” he said. “But watching them practice the last couple days, they know it’s 0-0 right now I think we’ve started a whole new season.”
