Elder dropped the fantastic A/B single “Liminality / Deep Space Return” on Monday, calling back to their 2012 A/B “Spires Burn / Release,” one of the strongest releases in their discography. With their often lengthy, multi-movement pieces, it’s a perfect delivery method for Elder’s music: What would amount to less than an EP’s worth of material for most bands becomes a bite-sized encapsulation of Elder’s distinct brand of prog.
