“History lessons, don’t you just love them?” the B-52’s Fred Schneider quipped early during the group’s set on Thursday night, Sept. 25 at the Pine Knob Music Theatre.
That was an apt description for the Cosmic De-Evolution tour stop that also featured Devo and Lene Lovich. But it was debatable as to whether “lessons” were really necessary for the small but engaged crowd of about 6,500 — even for the younger fans who weren’t born when the three acts emerged during the punk and New Wave boom of the late 70s.
