CHICAGO (WLS) -- The community came together Friday morning to continue selling tamales at the very spot Laura Murillo was at Thursday, working as a food vendor, when she was taken into custody by immigration enforcement officers.
"We bought out her tamales, took over her shift and we sold those tamales to fundraise for her." Berto Aguayo, co-chair of policy at Latino Leadership Council, said.

Supporters are not letting her ICE arrest stop them from continuing Laura Murillo's work in the community.
"We've gotta do this for each other," Aguayo said. "Street vendors are scared to even go to work. Everybody has to do this, buy out your street vendor, take over their shift, help them get through these tough times."
