As Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents continued to make arrests in Chicago and their loved ones pushed for answers, the head of U.S. Border Patrol announced his arrival on Thursday.

Chief Michael Banks posted videos on social media, showing him with ICE agents overnight. Later in the day, cell phone video sent to NBC Chicago showed Border Patrol boats going down the Chicago River.

Banks' visit comes as more stories emerge of families searching for answers about loved ones who were detained by ICE.

The Illinois Coalition for Immigration and Refugee Rights held a press conference at a Back of the Yards shopping center, where they said a large ICE operation took place hours earlier.

The coalition said agents targeted a nearby Home Depot, and the enforcement action was captured
