MADISON, Wis. -- Two teenagers face charges for attempted homicide after Madison police were dispatched near the 2400 block of Independence Lane on Sept. 1 for shots fired and attempted carjacking.

Officers were dispatched to the area shortly after 10:10 p.m. in which an occupied apartment was struck, causing damage to a glass patio door. No injuries were reported. In an update Friday morning, police said they found more fired shell casings and located more property damage in the area from the shooting.

A woman was driving in a nearby parking lot in the 2500 block of Columbus Lane when, according to police, three teens began to pull on her door handles.
