NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — LSU's fast 4-0 start has some Tiger fans already thinking about post season and that often includes a trip to our own All State Sugar Bowl.

WGNO's LBJ spoke with Sugar Bowl's CEO about how they both share a history dating back almost a century.

It was New Years Day 1939 and the LSU Tigers were starring in the second annual Sugar Bowl, taking on TCU in Tulane Stadium, thus taking the claim as one of the top schools participating to this day.

"It's pretty neat, we're sitting here in the Superdome 50 years in the Superdome, but obviously the Sugar Bowl's been around 92 years and the history with LSU goes back," said Allstate Sugar Bowl CEO Jeff Hundley.
