Kill Devil Hills reports on serious Sept. 19 collision with multiple injuries

9/23/25 Update: According to the Kill Devil Hills Police, Jeremy Lynch, who was flown to Sentara Norfolk General with life-threatening injuries after the collision, was reported to be in stable condition on Sept. 22.

On the afternoon of Monday, Sept. 22, the Town of Kill Devil Hills released this information about a two-vehicle collision last Friday.

On Friday, September 19, at approximately 1:39 p.m., officers with the Kill Devil Hills Police Department responded to a serious two-vehicle collision near the intersection of US 158 (North Croatan Highway) and Veelee Drive.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2006 Dodge Charger, operated by 39-year-old Dare County
