CHAMPION TWP., Ohio - Fourth graders at Champion Elementary School were paid a visit by former Ohio State and NFL football star and Howland native Doug Datish Friday morning.
Fourth grade students at Champion Elementary are participating in the Team Tressel Fitness Challenge , which aims to foster lifelong helathy habits through regular exercise, adequate sleep and balanced eating.
Champion was assigned former Ohio State Buckeyes, as well as Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans player and Howland native Doug Datish as their challenge buddy.
Datish visited the students during their gym class to cheer them on and take part in their daily exercises with them. He also shared the importance of keeping up with good habits and how it affects your body and mind.
