Former NFL MVP Shaun Alexander and his wife are expecting their 14th child, the retired running back revealed during a televised interview Thursday, spreading the word about their growing family of homeschooled children.

The one-time Seattle Seahawks running back was on “Up & Adams” on Thursday when the morning show displayed a picture of the player's expanding family.

"We're just now starting to tell people, but No. 14 is in the belly," a broadly smiling Alexander said. "You're the first one I've told on TV. So yeah, we're just now starting to tell everybody."

Alexander played nine years in the NFL , eight of them for the Seahawks. The University of Alabama product rushed for a league-high 1,880 yards and 27 touchdowns in his MVP 2005 season.
