In July, the Dragon Bravo Fire engulfed Grand Canyon National Park, one of the most popular national parks in the U.S. According to an article by the National Parks Conservation Association , over 144,000 acres were destroyed.
Luckily, the Dragon Bravo Fire is now almost completely contained, leading the National Park Service to reopen some areas that have been closed since July. The NPS announced its first trail opening in late August , and more are coming.
In a press release published on September 25, the NPS announced that parts of the North Rim will soon be accessible to the public. Here are the areas that will soon open again and those that will remain closed.
