SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints offered a glimpse into the renovations being done on sacred rooms inside the faith's most iconic building.

Significant progress has been completed in the Salt Lake Temple's sealing rooms, bridal suite, and assembly room, among others.

In a press release, the church detailed the updated painting and finishing work done to the temple's celestial room and sealing rooms, where many Latter-day Saint weddings take place.

The rooms have been updated to display new chandeliers which are designed to resemble those from the 1800s when the temple was built.

New chandeliers have also been added to the bride's suite along with painted ceiling medallions to reflect the room's original appearance.
