While Destination Stratford’s winter lights festival, Lights On Stratford, is still more than two months away, one of its most iconic symbols has taken up residence at the downtown Grand Trunk site.

The Lights On Stratford Heart was installed late last week “as a vibrant and symbolic tribute to the heart of Stratford,” Destination Stratford officials said in a release.

The display, which runs until Oct. 17, is part of a wider community initiative called Heart of Stratford. This initiative, run in collaboration with the Stratford Public Library, invites community members to share reflections, memories and ideas to help shape a collective vision of the community’s heart.
