For the first time since Hamilton police suspended a longtime officer and launched an investigation into his public support for white nationalist groups, the Hamilton Police Services Board publicly discussed the matter.

Chief Frank Bergen said the situation is under investigation by two provincial oversight agencies, and another police service, though he did not say which one. Bergen also said he is "very interested" in knowing how other institutions have dealt with similar situations.
