SAGINAW, MI — A Bridgeport Township man has been found guilty of killing his estranged wife in front of her children and wounding one of them in the process. Though the defendant claimed he accidentally shot his wife while defending himself from his knife-wielding stepson, jurors didn’t buy that he could have mistakenly shot her five times.
The jury in the trial of Bryant A. Brown returned to the courtroom about 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, to announce they’d convicted the 44-year-old defendant of first-degree murder, three assault charges, and eight firearm-related counts.
