BANGOR TWP, MI – A Japanese steakhouse and hibachi grill is expected to be the newest eatery in Bay County.

Bluefin Japanese Steakhouse is coming to 3898 State Street Road in Bangor Township. The restaurant offers fresh sushi, a variety of traditional Japanese cuisine and food made right in front of guests on a hibachi grill.

The location was previously the site of Brann’s Steakhouse & Grille, which closed in June 2024.

Bangor Township Supervisor Glenn Rowley said the township is excited for the addition.

“We are enjoying an influence of some new and fabulous food fare options,” he said.

According to the business’s website, Bluefin has locations in Howell and Hartland, with a third coming to Bay City.
