HOLT, Mich. (WILX) - Holt Public Schools has announced that it will continue providing free meals to all students throughout the 2025-26 school year.

The announcement comes as state lawmakers and Governor Gretchen Whitmer work to finalize the state budget for the new fiscal year, which begins on October 1.

In anticipation of ongoing budget uncertainty, Holt Public’s leadership team and Board of Education have been actively planning to ensure students remain supported.

District leaders reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring every student has access to a healthy breakfast and lunch.

Holt Public Schools asked their families to complete the Education Benefit Form (EBF) , which helps the district qualify for additional funding, grants, and educational resources for students.
