The Palm Springs Animal Shelter, in partnership with KESQ News Channel 3, will host a pet food drive Friday at multiple locations throughout Coachella Valley.

The “Cans ‘N Kibble” drive will take place from 10 a.m. through 7 p.m. Friday, organizers said.

Volunteers will collect kibble and canned food for dogs and cats to support families in need and keep pets at home. Officials said to donate canned food only and not any treat-based items.

Donations can be made at the following times and locations:

— Palm Springs Animal Shelter, 4575 E. Mesquite Ave. (10 a.m.-7 p.m.);

— Desert Community Animal Center, 13700 Palm Drive in Desert Hot Springs (10 a.m.-3 p.m.);

— Sun Community Federal Credit Union, 82195 Avenue 42 in Indio (10 a.m.-3 p.m.);

— Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory, 71100
