State Route 60 in both eastbound and westbound directions in Diamond Bar between Lemon Avenue and Diamond Bar Boulevard will be closed from midnight Saturday into Sunday morning as part of ongoing efforts to improve traffic flow and enhance safety in what is considered among the most heavily traveled corridors in the country, officials announced Friday.

The eight-hour closure is scheduled to begin at 12 a.m. Sunday and will remain in place until 8 a.m. the same day.

In preparation for the closure, multiple on- and off-ramps along SR-60, as well as connectors to and from State Route 57 will begin closing as early as 7 p.m. Saturday, according to the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments.
