District youth compete in electrical engineering competition
Senior Ana Padilla-Guzman wants to pursue a career in electrical engineering when she graduates from Peoria High School.
So she was very much at home during the SkillsUSA electrical competition Sept. 25 at Lowe’s, 8497 W. Thunderbird Road, in Peoria.
She was all business at the competition, her focus on the work, and enjoying every minute of it.
Padilla-Guzman said she loves the idea of “connecting one thing to another to make sure it turns on and it works,” and the eventual triumph of seeing the light bulb go bright and being able to say, “Yes, I did it!”
She ended up being the top scorer for Peoria High School at the competition.
