Strictly's Lewis Cope revealed that his Emmerdale "parents" are "so excited" to be cheering for him on the dancefloor.

It was revealed on The One Show that former Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope would be swapping the Dales for sequins as he will be joining the 2025 line-up.

He was a last-minute addition to the 15 famous faces after Game of Thrones star Kristian Nairn had to pull out in the last moment due to a health issue.

After he was announced, Lewis shared: "For me, it all happened within 24 hours, from the first phone call to everything - meeting producers, being in the room with one of the pros moving around to the medical test," he told the Manchester Evening News.
