Amy Dowden has revealed her Strictly Come Dancing co-star's heartfelt gesture during her cancer treatment.

The professional dancer will be back in the ballroom on Saturday night (September 27) as the hit BBC One dance contest's 2025 series officially gets underway with the first live show.

The much-loved programme returned to screens last weekend, with the pre-recorded live show airing on Saturday (September 20). It saw hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman welcome the 15 new celebrity contestants into the ballroom for the first time.

But that line-up is now without Dani Dyer following her shock withdrawal from the competition due to injury. However, her replacement was announced at the eleventh hour on Friday (September 26).
