BOZEMAN — After moving from his hometown of San Diego during middle school, Bozeman High senior Evan Hughen quickly learned how important Montana State football was to his new home.
He went to the games, followed the team and became a fan. And as he went along his own football journey, the prospect of playing the sport in college became more and more of a possibility. When it became time to decide where that would be, there was an easy choice.
“I really like all the coaches. I love everything that’s going there,” Hughen said. “Obviously, they're a good, winning program, so it's a good place to be. I’ll be staying home. I love it here, so why leave?”
Hughen received an offer to be a preferred walk-on over the summer, and he committed to the Bobcats
