New Delhi: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh tore into the Narendra Modi government over the arrest of Ladakh activist Sonam Wangchuk, who has been peacefully demanding full statehood for Ladakh-Kargil along with rights to education, health and employment.

The senior AAP leader emphasised that Sonam Wangchuk is a true patriot dedicated to the people of Ladakh, while the Modi government has shown its “dictatorial” character by arresting him under the National Security Act. He added that such an act is a symbol of dictatorship and Hitler-style governance, warning that stopping Ladakh’s people from protesting will only spark a major public uprising.
