BATON ROUGE - The family of Caleb Wilson, a Southern University fraternity pledge who died in a hazing incident, filed a wrongful death lawsuit on Friday.
The lawsuit was filed in the 19th Judicial Court against multiple chapters of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity, including the national chapter and the Beta Sigma chapter on Southern's campus, as well as the individual fraternity members involved in Wilson's death and the state of Louisiana, as represented by the Board of Southern University.
Wilson, 20, died earlier this year during an Omega Psi Phi hazing ritual, where he was punched in the chest.
