Earlier this week, Starbucks abruptly announced it will close several stores across the U.S. and Canada this weekend.
If you’re a Starbucks fan, the move may make your typical morning coffee run look different and call for a detour.
Starting Sept. 28, this will be the case for many Bay Staters as Starbucks shutters more than 20 locations in Massachusetts, according to updated hours and closures noted on the Starbucks app.

While the company has not officially released a list of stores slated for closure, a Starbucks spokesperson confirmed with MassLive the app will be updated by Sunday to reflect new store hours and closures. It already reveals many stores with open hours that end Saturday.
