MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WFSB) - A strike could be on the horizon for school bus drivers in Middletown and Cromwell.
The drivers voted to authorize a strike if they cant come to an agreement with their employer, DATTCO, by next Tuesday.
This would leave thousands of kids stranded without a ride to or from school in two different school districts. The strike would also mean no school buses taking kids to their after school athletics.
If the bus drivers can’t come to an agreement with DATTCO, the strike will begin next Wednesday, October 1st.
“I love my job. I don’t really want to leave, and I just wanna see a fair contract,” said Rebecca Gilbert, a Middletown school bus driver.
