BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo’s own Jay Dref, a Juilliard-trained classical tenor whose powerful voice has drawn comparisons to Josh Groban, is taking center stage at two iconic venues in his hometown this weekend.

On Saturday night, Dref will join the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra for their "Showstopping Pops" concert at Kleinhans Music Hall.

“It’s a huge weekend for me,” Dref said. “I’m so excited to be back in Buffalo performing with the BPO once again. It’s going to be a mix of all of your favorite songs from the movies, from Broadway shows, pop culture, and more.”

Dref will share the stage with fellow Buffalo native and Broadway veteran Michelle Ragusa, along with conductor Ron Spiegelman, who will make his debut as the BPO’s pops conductor.
