DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Family members said a man is dead following a shooting in DeKalb County Thursday night.

DeKalb County Police learned about the shooting around 7:45 p.m. Officers said a person was trying to take the victim, who had serious injuries, to the hospital when police met the vehicle in the 4800 block of Central Drive. Police said the shooting victim, who is in his 20s, died from his injuries.

The DeKalb County Medical Examiner's Office also responded and removed the body out of a vehicle.
