During the first two months of the 2025-26 school year, students from East Coweta High School’s Ambassadors Program have been hard at work serving in their community.

The program, started in 2018 by ECHS teachers Erica Pater and Amy Johnson, focuses on character, community service and civic engagement.

“We really looked at what we felt we needed at East Coweta, what areas can we really focus on, how many teachers really need more help?" Pater said. "There's just not enough time in a day for a lot of them. (Johnson) and I really went through a lot of what we want our leaders to have as far as character building, so this is a way to connect with others, learn effective communication and different ways to navigate transitions that happen through life.”
