SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - A man has been arrested and charged in an armed robbery stemming from a Facebook Marketplace transaction in South Bend.
22-year-old Dontrell Pierce has been charged with armed robbery, pointing a firearm and unlawful carrying of a handgun for allegedly pulling out a gun on a Facebook Marketplace seller last night.
Police say the victim called them just after 8:30 p.m. saying she had just been robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of the Charles Black Community Center on W. Washington Street.
The victim reportedly told police she had planned to meet a man known on Facebook as “Travis Hunter” to sell her PlayStation 5 after arranging the deal on Marketplace.
