A new facility in Lethbridge will house and support vulnerable residents.

The grand opening ceremony was held on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, for the Nokoowaayi supportive housing complex, also known as “My Home.”

Robin James, Chief Administrative Officer of the Lethbridge Housing Authority, says it will provide 30 units of housing for people who will always need assistance.

“Some of our [Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder] population that’ve fallen into homelessness, even on a recovery pathway, they don’t have the capacity to be able to do those daily activities such as cooking and cleaning,” says James. “This will provide an opportunity for them to be able to live in a residence without fear of eviction.”
