Glen Powell is sharing insight into an awkward encounter he recently had with a “canceled” celebrity and how he related it to his role on Chad Powers .

The actor recalled attending a Hollywood party where he had a run-in with a celebrity, who he was a fan of, but had been recently canceled.

“I showed up to the party and there was somebody that had been on the ropes in terms of getting canceled,” Powell said on the Therapuss podcast. “It was one of those Hollywood parties where there’s like cameras and press and all that stuff.”

Powell noted that “this person had made some of my favorite movies and I was like, ‘Oh, this is great,'” adding, “He came up and he said, ‘Nice to meet you.’ I was like, ‘Oh, dude. Such a big fan.'”
