Hurricane Humberto has formed in the Atlantic and a second system is expected to develop into a tropical storm in the coming days.

Humberto became a hurricane on the morning of Friday, Sept. 26, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) in Miami.

The storm is “ rapidly strengthening ” as it churns about 450 miles northeast of the northern Leeward Islands and is expected to become a major hurricane by the end of the day of Friday or on Saturday. Sept
