BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- A new report estimates that Louisiana will employ 20,500 construction workers at the peak of six concurrent megaprojects.

The report from Better Louisiana analyzed the size and timeline of new major projects planned and listed the number of construction jobs that can be expected at peak.

The peak for the construction workforce is expected to be in late 2026 and early 2027. • $10B Meta data center in Richland Parish: 8,500 construction jobs • Entergy's power center to support Meta data center: 1,500 construction jobs • $17.5B Woodside LNG in Calcasieu Parish: 6,500 construction jobs • $15.1B Venture Global CP2 LNG in Cameron Parish: 7,500 construction jobs • $4B CF Industries ammonia plant in Ascension Parish: 1,500 construction jobs • $5.
