AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Austin Water crews are actively working to repair a water main break in west Austin on Friday, according to the department.
Austin Water said the water main break in the 3400 block of Hancock Drive does not appear to have impacted water service for customers at this time.
A full road closure is in place at the intersection of Balcones Drive and Hancock Drive. The water department asked drivers and pedestrians to follow detour signs and to use alternate routes.
"Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible," an Austin Water spokesperson said.
Austin Water said once crews have assessed the break, repairs will begin, and an update will be provided when necessary.
