Honolulu firefighters extinguished a structure fire overnight near the entrance to Bellows Air Force Station.
At 11:49 p.m. Thursday, the Honolulu Fire Department received a 911 call for a building fire at 515 Tinker Road. Six units with 22 personnel arrived, with the first arriving at 11:54 p.m. to find a small, shed-like structure filled with smoke.
Firefighters initiated an aggressive fire attack with handlines and quickly brought the fire under control at 11:57 p.m. It was extinguished at 11:59 p.m.
HFD searched for occupants in the structure and confirmed no one was inside.
An investigation is underway to determine the fire’s origin and cause, along with estimated damages.
